What a treat! We stopped in for a week to get out of the holiday hustle and bustle, and found a true little private oasis. We do like uncrowded out-of-the-way places. Very nice owners, and we were invited to the park's free thanksgiving dinner by the pool for RVing guests. Wonderful dinner and friendly park residents (many here for the winter). It will be a memorable stay, away from the cities. We will return if traveling by on I-8 (AZ Exit 67).

Good park for overnight stay off I-80. Not a real picturesque park (mountain views all around) but easy on and easy off the Interstate. Not recommended for RVs over 40 feet unless you unhook. We came in at forty feet-towing and didn't have to unhook, a nice feature. Relatively quiet in front of park away from I-80. Park store has groceries, drinks, ice cream and some RV supplies. All in all, not a bad place for a stopover. This is our second stay and we will come back.

Lovely quiet little park for getting off of the 101. Little known fact: Park adjoins ranch where Seabiscuit the race horse was born and raised. Nice people in office, clean restrooms and big laundry. We would return.

Expensive park, unfriendly management and extra charges for everything. Will not allow pet fences but dogs off leashes running wild everywhere. Will not stay again.

This beautiful park is the highest-altitude KOA in the world at 10,000+ feet. Skies are crystal clear for stargazing and campfires fill the crisp night air. Bring your telescopes. Since the park has stair-stepped sites, your neighbor is below you and you can see forever. Nice on-site store with essentials and a few RV supplies. Hot tub for working out the aches from climbing Trachyte Knob, a 3500 foot peak, directly behind the park on BLM land. This is a must-visit park for trailers, tents, cabins or 40+' foot motorhomes (We camped here in a 40' motorhome). Lots of room for hiking, climbing or just watching eagles soar overhead. No pool. Five easy miles to Cripple Creek with 19 very loose casinos.
